The Tracks and Chains package can be used to
fully animate tracked vehicles and transmission
chains. The modifier wraps a group containing many links around a
group
containing the wheels. This powerful package can
also be used to implement tensioners and suspension in the
system. Click here to view an example animation . Once the Tracks and Chains modifier is setup all the user has to do is move the vehicle around in the scene and the tracks animate by themselves. No need for key frames. The animation matches the vehicles speed and steering. The beta version is free and will remain so indefinitely. A final 'pro' version may be commercially available in the future. |
