This free plugin models and correctly animates a
variety of helical springs. Although its easy enough to create a spring in the vertex or spline modeler and then animate it by scaling - that's not how a real spring works ! Features include: round or flat coils, ground ends, left or right helix, mesh detail level control, conical springs and inactive coils. The spring can be animated by changing the height parameter or automatically by stretching it between two target hot points. |
